It’s Wednesday which means it has been exactly one week since we kicked of this Winter Capsule Wardrobe series. How have you guys been enjoying it so far? Are you inspired to challenge yourself to using only 10 items for 10 days? Are you motivated to get into your wardrobe and get rid of the things you haven’t worn in months? Maybe you’ve even walked past the SALE racks and avoided new impulsive purchase for the sake of curating your wardrobe. A major thing that I’ve learned during this capsule wardrobe series is that less is definitely more. I’ve used the same items of clothing for an entire week and haven’t felt the desire to reach for any other pieces (besides maybe a casual denim jacket). On that note, let’s break outfit number 7 down:
I’m back in both my jumpsuit and coat for the third time. I had to give the jersey a break sometime! Instead, I’ve swapped it for a light blouse to add an air of sophistication to this outfit. I felt very business-women chic in this look; like I needed to go head a boardroom meeting or order Dan to run out and get me a bagel. Needless to say, I had a very productive day!
ITEM #7 | THE BLOUSE
I have had this blouse for just over two years now, and actually bought it for my first office-assistant job after I left the airlines. It’s made from polyester which is a material I try to avoid these days, but I’ve taken good care of it and it looks as good as the day I bought it. It has a beautifully loose structure which helps air flow throughout the garment, keeping me cool in the warmer months. It also has lovely flared sleeves that hardly crease which is great for me because I do not iron my clothing. You’ll get to see more of this blouse in the upcoming outfits.
Thanks for joining me today, and I hope to see you tomorrow for outfit 8!0
