You guys! We’re almost halfway through this capsule wardrobe and I’ve still got so many outfit options to share with you! But before I get too ahead of myself, let’s concentrate on today’s ensemble, outfit 4. Sunday is my favourite day of the week and is the only day I actually want to wake up early and do all the things! So a comfortable outfit is absolutely necessary. Let’s discuss this in further detail:
Comprising of the popular Sitting Pretty jersey and Hannah Lavery jumpsuit that I’ve worn previously here, this is the very definition of dressing for comfort, making it ideal for a Sunday meander around town, getting a coffee and croissant in the morning, and taking a stroll around the Botanical Gardens in the afternoon. Basically doing all my favourite things, as slowly and as leisurely as possible. I wore this outfit for most of the day but had to throw on a coat by the afternoon because the wind picked up – I’m not sure what is going on but Jozi has been hella windy of late, which is perhaps the one thing I neglected to consider whilst planning this capsule wardrobe. Adorning oneself with a posh overcoat to walk around a park with muddy pups while casually dressed suburban folk stare in confusion seems like a bad idea. Perhaps a less smart-dress jacket would have better suited the occasion.
ITEM #4 | THE JUMPSUIT
I have featured this jumpsuit before but wanted to focus on it once more. Officially called Jump Pants, this piece was made by Hannah Lavery, a Cape Town based and female-run clothing brand manufacturing small runs of refined women’s clothing and shoes. It’s the epitome of comfort and feels like a second skin. It’s so versatile that it can be worn during any season, making it a real keeper when owning a capsule wardrobe. Made from Linen/Rayon blend, it retains it’s structure while offering comfort and shape. Shop the look below:
