It’s already outfit number three and I’m really enjoying sharing this creative activity with you all. I have to tell you, it’s so refreshing waking up in the morning and knowing exactly what I want to wear or at least know my options without any fuss! Let’s review our latest outfit, shall we?
Definitely my favourite look so far; the combination of the coat and the fitted black mini dress makes for a timeless ensemble. Stockings are great for cooler days when you’re sick of hiding your legs under jeans or sweat pants but still want to keep warm. Also, if you’re like me and use winter as an excuse to not shave for three months, stockings are great for that too! Today we’re headed to the Braamfontein Neighbourgoods market for brunch and then onto an early dinner with friends so I wanted an outfit that I could wear to both as I won’t be going home in between. It’s quite warm today so I might even forgo the stockings until later this afternoon.
ITEM #3 | LBD
I have had this dress for almost three years, ever since my thrifty aunt spotted it at a charity store while I was visiting her in Australia. It’s still in such good nick and really is a testimony to #lovedclotheslast. It never seems to lose it’s elasticity and can be worn just above my knees for a more conservative look, or shorter as needed. The LBD is a staple in any wardrobe, which is why it makes sense to include it in a capsule wardrobe, no matter what the season is!
Coat | Sitting Pretty
Stockings | Woolworths
Boots | Cape Union Mart
I hope you’ll join me for outfit number 4 going live on this blog tomorrow morning. Until then, enjoy your Saturday!0
