Happy Friday! It’s time for outfit number 2. If you’re late to the Capsule Wardrobe party, check out my first post for more details on this fun little outfit series I’ll be hosting on this blog for the next 10 days. I’m so excited to share this with you, and hopefully you’ll be inspired to try this out too! But without further ado, let’s dive into the second outfit from my Winter Capsule.
So far it’s been a very organic experience, and I haven’t felt pressured, constrained or limited in terms of outfit options. I actually don’t feel like much has changed, probably due to the fact that I work from home and up until last week, wore the same outfit for days on end (blogging is so glamorous). This has, ironically, encouraged me to dress more sartorially while I sit in front of my computer for most of my work day, which has in turn made me feel better about myself and my work, subsequently making me more productive!
Today is cool but temperate, so this jersey will more than suffice, especially while I type away in a toasty café for most of the day. It amazes me how much this jumpsuit looks like pants, and I can’t believe I haven’t worn it this way before. It just goes to show how resourceful one has to be when owning a capsule wardrobe. Dan and I will be going out for a drink tonight, so I’ll most probably throw on another capsule wardrobe item, my winter coat, for some extra warmth, transforming this outfit from casual to chic.
ITEM #2 | THE JERSEY
As I mentioned yesterday, each day I’d like to focus on one clothing item from the capsule. Today, the spotlight is on this jersey. Another gem from Sitting Pretty‘s Autumn/Winter 2018 range, this jersey is made from the finest blend of ethically sourced wool and mohair, making it a desirable piece to invest in for the winter. I don’t think I can stress enough just how much I love this jersey. The fuzzy turtleneck is the ultimate weapon against the cool air, and if my neck (and feet) are warm, my body will be, too. See outfit details below.
