Last week I had the pleasure of shooting the latest earring collection from Meraki Jewellery Design, Margaux. A collection of bold statement pieces, the range consists of 8 beautifully handcrafted brass earrings comprising of geometric shapes and immaculate design. While developing the range, owner and head designer, Megan Keyser, stepped out of her comfort zone by playing around with both symmetry and asymmetry. ”I had so much fun designing this range and was able to learn more about my own personal style and preferences, my hope is that the wearer has as much exploration wearing these pieces!”, says Megan.
I have been coveting this Cape Town based jewellery brand for some time and love their delicate and timeless designs. Using raw stones, sterling silver and recycled brass, and drawing inspiration from nature and her travels, Megan creates both playful and effortlessly elegant adornments that serve as an affirmation for the wearer’s personal style. Every piece of jewellery is handmade in her studio allowing particular attention to detail. The result is a unique creation, made with love by passionate and talented hands.
Catch this lovely brand at Kamers in Johannesburg this week from 25-29 April. If you can’t make it, we’ve got you covered: to celebrate the launch of the Margaux collection, Meraki is giving away two pairs of earrings! Check out their latest post on Instagram and Facebook to enter.
